The Holodomor is the subject of the Vice-President’s Roundtable at the upcoming convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES).
At the panel, titled Soviet Famine or Famines: A Reassessment 90 Years after the Holodomor, leading scholars in Soviet history will provide their thoughts on the place of the Holodomor in history and how it has evolved. At the panel, HREC will award Oksana Kis with its Conquest Prize in Holodomor Studies for her article “Women’s Experience of the Holodomor: Challenges and Ambiguities of Motherhood.” The conference will run from November 30-December 2 in Philadelphia.
