Deadline for nominations — 11 September 2026
Contemporary European History article prize, which aims to encourage, recognize and promote high-quality research among postgraduate and early career scholars. The prize is open to anyone currently registered for a PhD (or equivalent), or to anyone within 5 years of their PhD viva (excluding career breaks), without geographic limitation.

Contemporary European History publishes research on any aspect of European history from 1914 until the present. Our definition of Europe is broad and includes borderlands or the lands of European empires.
