The initiative Ukrainian Research in Switzerland (URIS) invites applications for a six-month research and teaching fellowship at the University of Basel in 2027.
The program aims to strengthen Ukrainian studies in Switzerland, foster international academic networks, and support innovative research on Ukraine in the humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences.
Fellows are expected to pursue an ongoing research project related to Ukraine and to teach one Ukraine-focused course (1.5 hours per week, in English or German) during their stay.
The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of CHF 4,000, reimbursement of travel and visa costs, health and accident insurance coverage, and access to university infrastructure.
Fellows must reside in Basel for the duration of the fellowship.
