Summer School of the Digital Interview Collections at the Freie Universität Berlin, July 22-29, 2018
For the tenth time the Freie Universität Berlin invites young international scholars to a summer school in Berlin to become acquainted learn about with interdisciplinary methods of analyzing video testimonies of Holocaust survivors. This year’s Summer School focuses on the use of survivors’ testimonies in school education and will take place between July 22 and 29.
The program is generously supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and targets individuals who in the past have visited a German university, either as an exchange student or researcher, for one or several semesters and who have an interest in oral history, the history of National Socialism and Holocaust education.
The Summer School is free of charge for the participants. The Freie Universität Berlin will cover room and board and will subsidize travel costs. Please note, the workshop language will be German. To attend a high level of written and spoken German is required.
